The flight from Denver to Frankfurt was quite a lengthy plane ride and I was only able to sleep about 1 hour. The guy behind us in the middle of the night lost his camera and had a fit. The stewardess came to us and woke us up so we could place our seats in an upright position so this guy could find his camera. This debacle with him, the stewardess and flashlights must have lasted 30 minutes! By the time we arrived in Frankfurt I was running on fumes. I got a little sleep on the 3 hour flight to Bucharest though.
The plane ride from Denver was aboard a 747, one of the non-turbulent flights I have ever been on; nice and smooth the entire way. The flight to Bucharest on the other hand was a 737 and quite bumpy...guess that helped me sleep ;-)
The 747 we flew on was a beauty. Have not been on one of those for quite sometime.
Various photos of the plane rides. Views of Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary and Romania from the air!
Our drive from Bucharest to Sinaia was pretty uneventful till we hit the foothills and it started to snow. In Sinaia where we had to planned it was about 20 degrees farenheit and we were not able to get a hotel because their was a convention for doctors in town. We ended up driving all the way to Brasov and spent the night at the Ramada there. Nice hotel and big free breakfast.
More posts to come.
This part sounds awesome: "Our drive from Bucharest to Sinaia was pretty uneventful till we hit the foothills and it started to snow.
